About Me

This Wood House was created (with a little encouragement from a certain mother of mine) for my wonderfully supportive family. With my life seemingly shooting my husband and I on seperate coasts very soon, it seemed like a good idea to have one source for everyone to go to for the most recent information on our whereabouts. Saves me a few extra phone calls.

It will be a conglomoration of our life together, apart, future happenings for us, and my random daily thoughts that need an outlet- and an audience. Thanks for being the audience. I think I'll mostly just be posting whatever comes to my mind, some may be uninteresting to you at times but hopefully mostly not and you'll continue to check in on us.  I hope I can capture just a little of our crazy life that we are still daily trying to figure out, all for your viewing pleasure. So, we'll see where this goes.

For a little bit more detail on me us---

This is a first second attempt at keeping a chronicle of my crazy in-transition-but-one-day-will-be-settled life. My wonderful giant of a husband Mike played football with a short stint in the NFL and will soon be joining the Air Force and flying off to Lord knows where. I myself, the dwarf- ahem- I mean vertically challenged, am still waiting for a few career things to unfold in my half of our east coast life. In the mean time, I am enjoying life with my local family and my cousin's beautiful 7 year old daughter Winter who is battling leukemia- which takes up most of my free mental space. Being a fighter runs deep in our family so she is beyond strong.

here are a few of my favorite things:

favorite tv shows: NCIS, The West Wing (I miss you WW), Modern Family, How I Met Your Mother, Burn Notice

favorite foods: mac & cheese (with Texas Pete please), sushi, grapes, pad thai, cheesecake, sprinkled vanilla frosting, pickles

favorite music: Old Crow Medicine Show, Wilson Phillips, Train, Tracy Chapman, Taylor Swift, OAR, The Beatles, Counting Crows, Slightly Stoopid, Coldplay

favorite places I've traveled: Turkey- hands down. Most life changing and culturally fascinating place I've ever lived or traveled! And I'm a warm weather sucker so Hawaii & St. Maarten both my favorite islands to date.
