3 Months and a 1000 smiles

My sweet Jameson is 3 months old. Three months!

He is such a joy. Honestly. He is a happy boy that loves attention and adores his momma. He smiles about 80% of the time and if he's not smiling, there is something very wrong in his world- dirty, sleepy, hungry, something drastic.  He loves watching his big sister and cracks up at her moments of drama, which at age 2 are pretty often. I wonder if it will always be like this. She cries so he laughs so she cries harder he laughs harder. Oh boy.

His favorite things beside the things I mentioned already are…
peeing in a warm bath, having his shirt pulled over his head during changes, and being tickled pretty much anywhere.

Tummy time is getting better and better. He has strong head control and is starting to push up off his chest when on his belly. He is "mobile." These days, he is rarely still in the position that I left him when on his back. He moves himself in all directions, a full 180 and then complete 360s. He's fast at it too so I have to watch him close.

He's also getting more comfortable in his bumbo seat. He loves to sit up and always tries to hoist himself up if I've only propped him half way on something. He's strong. No lie. (And, yes, I'm buying a cover for the beautiful purple bumbo that used to be Cheyanne's. I just haven't yet).

He's also very much a Wood boy, a growing-very-quickly Wood boy. Three months old in 9 month clothing. Yes, nine months. When we were in Roanoke, we weighed him at 15.5 pounds. That was 2 weeks ago. I'm guessing he is more at 16 by now. I'm dying to know real measurements.

Sleep isn't fantastic around here yet but what's new there? I'm starting to believe that I just don't birth strong sleepers. Zzzzzzz…. oops sorry I fell asleep real quick. Anyways, I'm trying to commit to the Baby Wise way of doing things. I've heard enough praise stories about it that I'm trying my best to figure it out for him. So far, no luck.

But, look at that face. Who can be upset from severe sleep exhaustion when you look at him? I know I can't.

He is in his own room now. The night we came home from Virginia was his first night in his room. I was up quite a bit that night with him, but by night 2 was doing much better. I started with him in his bassinet in his crib, but seeing as he's grown so quickly, he just didn't fit in it anymore. That only lasted about 3 nights until I took the bassinet out. I love not having to tip toe in my room anymore going to bed, even if I am up more during the night.

I guess the most significant thing in Jameson's life this month was our trip to Virginia at the end of March. He met so many new people that have been waiting a long time to meet him. He is so loved and I am so blessed. He met his Skipper, all of his great-grandparents on my side, Uncle Jake and his family including cousin Libby, his Uncle Greg and girlfriend Krista, gained a little cousin Tyson, and met some of my best friends from childhood. He was a very busy kid for a few weeks.

Jameson, baby boy, I cannot express enough how very much you are loved. You bring so much happiness to us all. Your sweet toothless smile, your ball of energy early in the mornings, your love of being snuggled. All these things make each day with you better than the last.

One Month Down

Its so hard to grasp the fact that our little man Jameson is one month old. He truly is my little labor of love. And one day I'll actually get a chance to finish my story of labor with him.

ONE MONTH. For real.

He's growing so fast. Literally. He was born at 7lbs 7oz, lost to 7lbs even by day 3 and a month later weighs in at a full 10lbs 1oz. That's 3 pounds in a month. He's a growing boy and loves his "momma milk."

Just 3 weeks ago, here he is at one week.

He is a snuggler and absolutely loves to be held. He wants to be held all the time, day and night. He lets us know very quickly when he's not getting the snuggling he wants. He's a momma boy so far. There are few moments of the day that he isn't in my arms right now despite my efforts to get him familiar with his swing and bouncers. We're figuring out how to be productive and happy at the same time. Momma's arms (and brain) need a break sometimes. I think he's figuring out though that all he has to do is smile at me and he's good for another 20 minutes or so being held. I'm a sucker.

He is beginning to like not hate baths. There's not so much of the crying anymore like this. Poor boy doesn't like to be chilly.

He is constantly aware of his big sister. He isn't able to constantly follow her with his eyes yet because that girl is ALWAYS on the move, but if he can't find see her, he gets very still with these wide eyes listening trying to find her. It is so cute. I can already tell these two are going to be close as they grow up together. She is not yet protective of him but she is always curious of his whereabouts and lets me know when he's crying.

Ignore the fact that Cheyanne stole his teddy bear here so her Mr. Bear could give him a hug. I swear she loves him and they'll be best friends. I love his stunned face.

Happy one month baby boy! We are so glad you are here.

22 months

I know this is a little late. Like, about a month late. Oops. We're already onto month 23, but I'm getting us back in order here with month updates back to back.

Cheyanne at 22 Months

Look at my little missy growing up so fast.

Finally I caught a sweet and pretty smile for a month shoot instead of her "cheese" smiles which usually come first. Its amazing what bribing her with M&Ms can get this girl to do. Hehehe. Mommy is so sneaky.

Things you're into:

  • One word- Nemo. Nemo in the morning. Nemo in the evening. Nemo in the afternoon. I'm pretty sure if we left naming your little brother/sister up to you, the name would be Nemo. Or Dory, but probably Nemo.
  • M&Ms. I can't write a post of things you are into without mentioning M&Ms. They are your crack and we use them to our advantage. I have no shame on some days.
  • Everything outside.
  • You have discovered dolls. You still love your trains, trucks and boats, but baby dolls are so much fun. Watching you rock your babies is precious.
  • Mommy, of course.
Biggest changes this month:
  • You are in a big girl bed!!! YAY!!!! We cuddle at night for a few minutes then its "Night night." So far, only Mommy gets to put you down for bed time but I'm really hoping that you'll let Daddy share in that joy soon.
  • We have a babysitter and you love her. Daddy's friend's girlfriend comes twice a week so Mommy and Daddy can go to the gym. Mommy likes to get my yoga on.
You are my sweet girl. We love you so much.

21 Months

Oh my goodness, child of ours, at 21 months you are one sweet handful. Who knew a toddler would be so much fun and so much work all at the same time?

Yall, is it just me or did the last month fly by? I feel like I just wrote her 20 month post last week. And I even am a few days late with this 21 month one. Sheesh!

Ok, 21 months…. let's go. Cheyanne...

  • You are constantly on the go. Unless its close to bedtime and we happen to have a movie on for you, you don't sit still long during the day. Having Lola (or "Rora" as you call her) has definitely given you someone to play with at home, other than me. Although, sometimes you both get a little too rough with each other and one of you ends up hobbling away whining. Ah, the life of two toddlers in one house, just one happens to be a dog.
  • On that same note, you love to get Lola in trouble. There's no denying it. At dinner time, you love to gross me out by putting your hand out for Lola to come lick… during dinner. AH! Why does this amuse you so much Child? There's also the issue of sharing. Its hard to pull the line of sharing when I encourage you to share with other kids, but I try not to let you share your toys with the dog. That line is still blurry. You like to hand Lola your toys then yell "No Rora!" Sigh.
  • We have a little concrete square patio out back that Cheyanne considers her performance stage. When outside, she'll grab my hand and say,  "mon" (come on) and lead me straight to her stage and begin dancing. She's a girl that dances to her own beat. We spin and run in circles, sing her gym songs, and clap or pat to any beat that she comes up with.
  • We ended our weekly Bumblebee gym class last month and I didn't sign her back up for the summer session. I'm still tossing around the idea of re-enrolling her for the fall, but I haven't completely decided yet. She loved our weekly play time, but with fun comes a price. We'll reevaluate closer to time, but I'm hoping that by then we'll be involved in a regular play group here that will be just as fun. We do have swim classes coming up next month so we won't be too bored.
  • We've been working a lot on colors this month and have pretty much gotten nowhere. Every color is blue right now. I'm learning that I'm just not a teacher. How do teachers do it?!
  • You and your daddy have a little game. It goes like this. Kiss- hug- kiss- hug- kiss- hug- he give you a Hersheys kiss. What started as bribery (from him) became a win-win for both of you since you've been a little sheepish around Daddy the last month. I don't exactly stamp my seal of approval on this game, but whatever, to each their own Daddy.
  • We went to your first movie in a theatre. After four days of straight rain, we all got stir crazy and thought we'd try out a movie. You loved it. Madagascar 3 was a hit. You almost made it the way through, up until you fell asleep 25 minutes before it ended.
  • Some favorites this month are books, playing in the pool, jumping waves at the beach, balls, your baby (doll), drawing, making animal noises, playing I spy, and popsicles. God bless the creator of popsicles in this Charleston heat.

I may or may have not bribed you during this photo session with Hersheys Kisses… a tip from Daddy. It worked! Now I get the point of his bribery. She's a sucker for the chocolate.

Love you little Chocolate Mouth!

20 Months Whaaa?!

Sweet child of mine, you're growing is out of control. Its the first thing people say when they haven't seen you in a while, even if that while has only been a week or so. "She has grown!" Yes, yes you have. You are taller for sure and have put on a few lbs.  I'm not exactly sure of your measurements, but I know you are taller than most of the other kids in your play groups and gym classes, most of whom are older than you. I hope you don't take offense that I lovingly refer to you as my little giant. You'll get it one day when you realize the ironic mix of your bloodline.

You are a very quick learner. This is not an exaggeration when I say that you are learning at least one new word a day. You repeat a lot that you hear, sometimes things I didn't even know you heard. Mommy and Daddy are learning to watch what they say now. We've taken to spelling certain words that you know, for example, "cookie". Yep, that's a popular one. Although, its pretty funny when you say it because it comes out sounding more like "boobie"- Ha!

This month you've picked up on telling the difference between things like fruit. Before, every kind of fruit was a "nana" banana. This month, you've caught on to saying orange, apple, and grape. Sometimes I try and tempt you with an orange for snack just to hear you say because it is so dang cute. Tempting you isn't hard though but I'm pretty sure you're going to turn into an orange by how many you eat, its one of your favorite snacks.

You're an artist. I know that's not new this month but its pretty awesome and I'm loving it. We draw and color create every single day one way or another.

You are silly and love to laugh. You've found your deep throaty laugh this month. Its hilarious. Laughter only encourages you more.

You're Miss Tude most days recently. At.ti.tude. that is. What's a nice way of saying Terrible Twos? I'm still searching for that word.

This month, you are a momma's girl. Last month, you were a daddy's girl. Its all in phases. I'm not sure if this phase has been harder on you or Daddy. I don't have a picture to show this, but just trust me. Of course, right before this phase started, you said your first sentence. "Mommy, where Daddy?" And then it began.

You truly are growing up quickly. By this time next month, you might even be in a big girl bed. Daddy and I have been talking about it recently. My heart twinges a little when I think of you sleeping all alone in a bed that's not your crib. Argh! Slow down!

We love you Chey Chey. You are the love of our lives. Thanks for keeping life fun and wildly entertaining.

19 months

Oh Cheyanne, my how time is flying by. You, Sweetie, are a handful of joy. I never know exactly what's brewing in that head of yours. I love that you keep Momma and Daddy on our toes. So, lets see what you've been up to this month. Nineteen months...

You started counting to 3 this month. You say "uhn. oo. shree."

You've learned the word "no". Awesome. Nuff said.

You are getting really good at repeating a lot of words now. You don't say many of those words on your own, but you'll repeat it as soon as you hear Daddy or I say it. You definitely have your own language though that you completely think we understand.

Had your first full on tantrum in public which also happened to be Momma's first grimace-in-embarrassment moment. Body on floor, tears streaming, the works.

We started you in gym class this month every Tuesday for 9 weeks. You're a tumbling bumblebee.

The terrible-twos have come early and its really awesome…. The good Lord made you irresistibly cute for a reason, to save your life my dear.

You have your Momma's temperament and your Daddy's mannerisms and personality.

This was a big month because it was your first holiday with your Daddy NOT on Skype but right beside you. Finally. We love Easter.

You point to planes and say "Dada." It doesn't matter if its a C17 or any other plane, they are all "Dada"s plane.

You've renamed your pacifier "baba" - which I'm really hoping will disappear this next month if I get gutsy enough.

As much as you love Mickey Mouse, you have discovered new things exist. Your favorite movies are Rio and Lady and the Tramp. Anyone every need to know the scripts of either of these movies, just let me know. I now know them by heart.

We went through a few weeks of sleep issues aka you HATED going to sleep and would scream when you realized it was night-night time. It started the day after Daddy and I went to the squadron banquet and we weren't the ones to put you to bed. Then to make matters worse, Daddy left the next day for a mission and I think the two simultaneous things got you all out of whack. But we're all better now- thank the Lord. 8pm-7am solid sleep.

Art time always makes you happy. You love to draw, color, paint, chalk, you name it. If it involves you making some kind of art, you love it.

You cry when you see Daddy putting on his flight suit. You know it means he is leaving for a while. Talk about heartbreaking. We appreciate late night or early morning flights much more so we can skip the goodbyes. Until he gets back, we say "Daddy's at work." It seems to make things better for you.

_____________
That's you at 19 months baby girl. We love you to pieces, all the way to the moon and back.

17 Months?!

17 months old is hard to type, let alone think. Its been a challenging month for sure, but so far, its been my favorite. Cheyanne, little girl, you amaze me every single day. You are beautiful. You are a handful. You are absolutely the perfect mix of your father and mother that's for sure.

Oh and you NEVER sit still. Getting your 17 month pictures was impossible. Two different photo shoots and this is the best one I got. I'll have to try again.

These are a few of the 2nd outtakes.
 and here are the first

Oh boy.

I have a hard time grasping that you are not a baby anymore. Independence has taken over. I don't think I was completely ready for how independent you actually are. Some days the independence is fantastic and very appreciated. Other days, your independence and slight mix of short temperedness (I don't know where you get that from) is a fun mix…

Your fake cry face.

You like to feed yourself and get frustrated when I try and help you though you actually do feed yourself very well with utensils. You know what you want and like to push me in that general direction so I can figure it out too. We play the game of point and guess all day long. You climb. You run. You are determined to do things on your own. You are all girl but I think I'm starting to see some rough and tumble in you too. I like that.

While you are so independent, you give me these sweet moments that remind me how much you still love me and need me. You are quite the little comedian too. You like to sneak up on me from behind with a big bear hug and we laugh hysterically like you surprised me each.and.every.time. Once is never enough.

Bath time becomes an art fest with your fancy bath crayons. You are for sure an artist in the making! I do actually hope this is true, because you have some serious artists in your bloodline and I'm afraid it skipped over your parents.

The biggest milestone this month is definitely that we quit nursing. Knowing how attached you were, I was very nervous that this would be too difficult for you, but you surprised me. It was like we were in agreement that we both felt it was time. We went from 2 feedings to no feedings in less than 3 days.My reasonings for stopping nursing were selfish as I just wanted my body back for a little while, but I'd say nursing you for 16 months was a pretty great accomplishment on both of our parts. Good job kiddo! We proved all of the doubters wrong. Score 1 us.

This is our last month on our own. (Thank the Lord). I have loved being with you 24/7 and I wouldn't take any of our moments back for all the money in the world, but hasn't been an easy month Chey. I love you more than I can ever say.  You make MomMom and Daddy very proud. I can't wait for Daddy to get home and see how much you've grown up!

Stats: Taken at her checkup 3 weeks ago.
Weight: 24+ pounds (the first time that you've been under the 80th percentile because you had a growth spurt in height). You have lost weight from our stay in Virginia. Your length is catching up quick to the weight.
Height: 31.5 inches You are probably taller than that now since you definitely just had a growth spurt evidenced by the two weeks of eating me out of house and home every meal.

16 months strong

Do you realize that my sweet baby Peapod is now 1 and 1/3 years old? Is this possible? Somehow between our long trip over the holidays and resettling at home with our many many new toys via Christmas, this date has really snuck up on me. You wouldn't believe how much this little girl has grown recently. I know its only been a month since her last monthly post, but for some reason it feels like so much longer because she has grown so much so fast. I can't pin point how, but she just has.

Here's my girl:

She's ALL OVER THE PLACE! All the time. Walking. Running. Climbing. You name it- she's probably doing it. With only one child, I can barely keep up sometimes. What in the world am I going to do when I have three more? (See that Giant? That one was for you- for now).

Her mind is constantly curious. When she gets something new, she likes me to show her ONE time how it works then its her turn. Toys, tupperware, books, whatever… she sees it done once, then inspects the mechanics of it over and over again. My observant child.

Her four favorite lovies remain (in this order- and yes she has FOUR): blankie, Puffin (her small white puffed seal she got at the aquarium, Mr. Bear and her Mickey Mouse from Daddy. Of course, there still remains the dreaded paci (pacifier) but I still refuse to acknowledge it as a "lovey."

She "talks" all day long until someone else is around, then suddenly all her words become grunts or pointing gestures. I guess that's still the shyness in her. Her newer words are "Go go!" which always includes a very enthusiastic point forwards, "dis" for this, "hello", "no", "ju ju" for choo choo,  "cheese", "Ne ne" for Nana AND Skipper, and "baby" for baby. Obvi. There are very few people that she will show off her new words for. Mostly me. One day Daddy too I hope. And when she doesn't know the word, it tends to be called "MomMom" or "Baba". For example, "Cheyanne, what is this?" as I point to her toy cow. "MomMom" she responds. No. No Cheyanne. Lordy. We're working on it. She's not great for the ego right now.

We sing our body parts song on a daily basis. She's got most of her parts down. The newest ones are her shoulders, knees, and as of last night her elbows. So working from head down that would be: head, eyebrows, eyes, eyelashes, ears, nose, cheeks, lips, mouth, (no chin yet), shoulders, boobies, elbows, belly, bellybutton, hands, fingers, legs, knees, feet, and toes. She loves the body part game. Doctor maybe? :)

She also loves other identification games. I am amazed how much she recognizes and knows even if she can't say the words yet. We're not clear on colors yet, but she has her animals down pat. People, if you have a toddler, know a toddler, are a toddler, get this book. I know its about colors, but there are other versions of it too for words specifically that would be great too. She got it for Christmas and we pour over multiple times a day. This is the book that really made me realize how much she knows and picks up on just by conversation and observation. It astounds me what she knows. Am I bragging yet?… Hello?… Uhmmm.

Anyways, back to Miss Smarty Pants.

Cheyanne is hysterical. She definitely has a good mix of her Daddy's and my sense of humor. She likes to do subtly funny things and will look out of the corner of her eye to make sure you're watching and think its funny too as she chuckles to herself- her Daddy. But, when you get her laughing, she quickly feeds off of the extra attention and will purposefully do things funny to get more laughs- her MomMom. She LOVES to make people laugh. She is pure joy.

When she wants something, she'll let you know. She will come across the room, stop me from whatever I'm doing, grab my hand and lead me to what she wants. And if I'm not picking up on it fast enough, she'll place my hand/fingers on it to end the guessing game. Then, there's never a question.

She loves being outside. I have to time checking the mail right because if we're out, we're out for a while. So, on rainy or cold days, I have to make sure I go out during nap time. She doesn't care the temp, outside is where she wants to be at all times. And for being such a girly girl, she sure does love to dig in the flower bed dirt. I can't walk by my flower beds without pulling out a weed or two. That's always her cue to stop and dig in whatever dirt pile is around too- ugh.

She is gentle and sweet spirited- most of the time. But, this girl has a temper faster than lightning when she's focused. Not usually around other people, but at home watch out. Being around other kids recently though, her gentleness and lacking desire for confrontation has shown through. She has no desire to bully other kids or even be around kids arguing. She is so mild and observant. When she sees other children arguing or fighting, she immediately backs away and doesn't want any part in it. Still a little too young to understand the concept of sharing, she does get her feelings hurt if another child takes her toy. But she has never shown any desire to confront them or show aggression but usually just watches for a moment afterwards. Not something that she got from her Momma- uh hmm. I may or may not have been known to bite a time or too. I plead the fifth. But, I'm pretty sure that little boy from day care probably still has teeth marks on his arm. *Thank the Lord she's as sweet as she is.*

This is her "How big is Cheyanne? Sooooo big!" pose.

So, that's my girl. My sweet, funny, loving little girl. I am more than blessed. Thanks for 16 months of fun Missy.

Fifteen months

Fifteen months has literally flown by for me with Cheyanne. And it hasn't helped that Christmas has been a little chaotic, so I have not seemed to find time to write her 15 month post until now (almost two now three weeks late- I wrote this last week and somehow never posted it). I guess I should get on that quick before she turns the big 1-6 months. And since we had to leave Mr. Bear at home, we'll just have to improvise.

So, what has Miss Chey Chey been up to this month? Well, I have a list.

Cheyanne:
  • we are behind on the 15 month checkup- I'll figure out her stats later but I know she weighs at least 25 big ones
  • is solidly wearing 18 month clothing but some things 24 months
  • discovered movies- first movie to show interest in was Toy Story 3
  • can accurately identify most body parts: Eyes, nose, mouth, ears, hands, toes, boobies (hehe), belly, belly button, and eyebrows
  • down to nursing 2-3 times a day- Once or twice in the morning and once before bedtime
  • randomly realized that not everyone is terrifying (something clicked at Thanksgiving), but she still likes people to move slow not in her face
  • loves to laugh (at everything)- she just started the cutest new cheesy laugh when she knows someone is watching- covers her face and throws her head backwards or forwards while laughing
  • very ticklish
  • has grown quite the mullet- its a beautiful thang
  • hates Santa Claus (when he gets too close that is)
  • understands much much more than I ever dreamed she would at this age- way beyond others her age (so I've been told- brag brag) (I contribute this to her always being a serious and "observant" baby since day one
  • is a walking machine!!
  • discovered Clifford and LOVES him
  • cut a whole bunch of new teeth including 3 molars. Somehow she went from 4 teeth to 9 teeth in about a week. I have no idea how long she had been cutting them but suddenly they just appeared out of nowhere- no fussing or usual teething mess to signal their arrival! What a champ.
  • flew her best flight yet on our way to Roanoke- not even a whimper or yawn the whole time
  • has a possible food allergy to vinegar and/or ranch causing topical breakout on her face
  • Ranch anything is her favorite food- ugh- of course
  • Misses her Daddy every day (just wanted to throw that in there to remind the Giant that no matter how much fun it looks like we're having- we still miss him every minute of every day)

Three Months Behind

I somehow just realized that I'm the worst Mom at remembering milestones. I can't believe I NEVER posted her monthly milestones since her birthday!! Worst! So for record sake, I'm going to just quickly recap what she's been up to and how fast she's growing in the last…3 months.

Let's start.

How is this the only picture I have with Mr. Bear on her birthday? I think too much was hitting me that day to remember to get a good picture. I swear she had lips at 12 months. She just likes to suck them in (still). At 12 months, Cheyanne's Daddy was home so life was good, crazy but good. I think 12 months might have been a little bit of a rough month because everything was an adjustment. Going from one parent to two within a day changes things. She adjusted just in time…

At her 12 month check-up, Chey weighed 22lbs 7oz and measured 29.5inches. That continued the reign in the 75th+% of measurements. Not walking yet, but she was quite the furniture cruiser. Her hair is now starting to really grow in despite being a little "mulletish" with short up front and a curly party in the back. MomMom and Dadda were regular words being used correctly (most of the time).

Oh man, I really wish now that I had taken the time to do this at the time. This is harder than I thought to remember.

On to the big 1-3 month update.

Thankfully, I remembered to get some good pictures this month.

Thirteen months was a BIG BIG BIG month. My baby evolved into a toddler, and Lordy did it happen fast. She went from no steps to three steps to twenty steps all in the blink of an eye (or about a twenty-four hours). How is that even possible? How did it happen the first time? Baby and I were outside in the front yard waiting on Daddy to come home from work. He pulled in the driveway and in normal fashion, she wanted to get to him as fast as possible. In his arms, he turned her around and said "Walk to Mommy." We both lightly encouraged her like we usually did, but something in her nerves changed and off she went! Three steps all the way to me. Hooping and hollering ensued which then led to more walking and more hooping and hollering. So on and so on. By the next day, I'd lost count after 20. I tell you what, when she catches on to something, she sure takes off with it.

Some other things that changed this month after daddy deployed were… a few extra ounces gained, an inch or two grown, another tooth popped through on the bottom which has her at 5 total, and our first ponytail/pigtails. Another big first this month, "Uh oh!" I don't guess this technically is her first word, but its definitely her first towards talking. Its the cutest thing I've ever heard. "Uh oh!" Cracks me up every time she drops something and then looks at me and says "Uh oh."Also, everyone gets a "Hi!" Hi Hi Hi!

Now on to NOW- 14 months.

Is it just me or does this girl seriously look more like a girl than a baby? Maybe its the hair or maybe its the smile, but I just can't get over how much she has changed. Her days are constant and jam packed full of fun. Finally, I think its safe to say that we have our own little routine, just us girls here. She has started a good sleeping schedule- down by 8:30pm, sleeps until 5:30am, nurses and back to sleep until 8:30am most days. We are still at one nap during the day which starts at 12:00 and lasts a solid 2 hours. Finally!

She's becoming quite the chatty cathy saying words like "uh oh," "up," "boo" for book, "ba" for bear (Mr. Bear), "doo doo" for thank you, "dadoo" means I want, and "out." Maybe they are words only a MomMom can understand, but she's got a good start.

Body parts are big right now. We have a game of pointing to all our body parts every day. She knows her belly, belly button, toes, nose, eyes, mouth, boobies, and fingers. That's quite the accomplishment I think. Her favorite- her belly button!

We are still nursing around 5 times a day. She is very texture oriented so its still a constant game of figuring out what she'll eat. She "can" eat most things but does not care for meats or other tougher or stringy foods. She'll eat the entire can of corn or cooked (and sweetened) carrots if I let her. And carbs. Oh the carbs. She's a little more like me in this department than I'd like. But, who can blame her? I sure can't. My way around the blank carbs on days where I can't seem to get much healthy in her, I sneak in some veggie pasta. Thankfully she loves it. Sneaky MomMom.

I think that catches me up to date on her milestones. Hope you enjoyed this three months crash post.
